CAYLA SWEAZIECayla Sweazie, a Northern Virginia native played competitive travel ball for VA Glory and Lady Lightning growing up. Sweazie was a four year varsity starter at Potomac Falls High School and went on to play D1 softball at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. There she contributed primarily as a hitter. She gained multiple Rookie and Player of the week conference accolades. Sweazie competed at Morgan State for three years and graduated early to pursue a career in sports journalism.
After college, she relocated to the DMV area where she works. She works in social media covering sports and culture. She also works as a sideline reporter covering college football games and is passionate about sports broadcasting. From student athlete to working in sports after graduation, she is excited to encourage the next generation of women in sports on and off the field! |
